Who are we?

We are a non-profit voluntary support group. Our group was established by parents of children with ADHD/ADD, associated conditions and Special Needs.

The aim of the group is to provide help and support to anyone affected by ADHD/ADD and associated conditions. We are NOT experts, just families that have come together to support each other. You do not have to have a confirmed diagnosis and this is NOT something we can help with, but we can listen and share our experiences of the condition and the 'Special Needs Process'.

Adult ADHD

Some adults with ADHD have never been diagnosed because many people think that it disappears as soon as the child becomes 18. ADHD affects about 5 percent of children, and about half of them will carry those symptoms into adulthood.

Untreated ADHD can cause numerous mental and physical problems that can put a strain on relationships and cause difficulties in many aspects of everyday life. It important for the signs of ADHD is recognised.

ADHD West Cumbria in collaboration with the ADHD Foundation, one of the leading ADHD charities, supporting us to support you!
